Annual Report

DAV has become a moment to spread quality based education which imbibes the Indian culture and heritage on the side and modern scientific education on the other side. The glow of this great cause reached Talwandi Bhai where the people felt a need of such an institution which provide value based education to the children, thus with the great efforts of Chhabra family and members of the local management committee SBR DAV Sr. Sec. Public school was opened in 1993.

ACEDMIC SIDE

Methodology of teaching: New techniques have been sorted out to tackle the problem of students by interaction with teachers and parents.

       New teaching techniques and method have introduced our teaching curriculum has been planed according to child’s psychology and his development.

       Art integration, experiential learning, capacity based learning, tech learning and involvement of students through activities also being done.

       Regular supervision of the academic work is being observed – note books, Examination sheets, Monthly test are being checked regularly. There is super checking after which being done by the principal himself.

       Different techniques have been introduced to encourage self learning and self study. Favourable climate for innovations in teaching has been created. There is an arrangement for frequent education and teaching discussion. Change in teaching is being introduced whenever and wherever necessary. Laboratory and library are being utilized in a better way.

Strength

       The strength of the students at present 1029 student are studying in this school. 15 students have already been registered in various classes for the session 2024-25.

Sports

             In the previous session the school got 67 Gold, 13 Silver & 05 Bronze Medals at Cluster Level tournaments of DAV National Sports & 02 Gold, 27 Silver & 21 Bronze Medals got at Zonal Level DAV National Sports & in this session our school participated at national Level & our students got 03 Silver Medals in Kabaddi Girls at National Level.

Co-Curricular Activities:

There are many activities which are organized by the school for the holistic development of the students. In addition, CBSE activities are also taken care for enthusiastic participation at all levels. List of school level activities follows:

Result

The result of VIII, X & XII std. in the session 2022-23 is 99% and QPI of X & XII std. are 71.03 & 74.51.

       School has been performing excellent in academics since its inception. We are glad to see that it has become a final choice of the parents.
